The problem was never the produce.
The Bhima valley grows some of the finest pomegranate, banana and grapes in Maharashtra. What growers lacked was scale at the point of sale. Selling a few tonnes at a time through layers of commission agents meant the farm gate captured the smallest share of the final price.
Farm Heritage was formed to change the unit of trade. We aggregate member lots, grade them to a consistent specification, hold them briefly when the market says wait, and move them directly to APMC yards, processors and retail chains. Every lot stays traceable to the farm it came from.
Turnover has grown from ₹5.48 lakh in our first part-year to ₹111.98 lakh in 2022–23, with ₹97.67 lakh in 2023–24 as we invested in handling capacity.
